hey ya'll! you guys can ask and answer questions that people dont know... er... or get...

but heres some!

what is the meaning of anime?
what is anime?
is anime just drawn pictures in a book/motion picture?

Hmm...

What is the meaning of Anime/Manga? What is Anime/Manga?
To me, Anime/Manga represents a look into another world, the look inside of someone or someones head and or heads.
Anime/Manga draws a visual representation of what is a story someone (or someones) made, or even one that may have been passed down the generations. It's visual because pictures are more powerful than words.
I don't think there is a solid 100% answer to either of these questions.
Each person can and should have a different take as to what Anime/Manga is to them.

What is Anime/Manga?
One can call Anime/Manga a drawing style, as most anime and manga follow basic guide lines on how to draw each picture/image/frame.
You could say "Anime only comes from Japan" but then again, that's insulting.
Considering I tend to draw with my anime influenced style. And so do alot of other people.

I believe anime, comes from French :3. It's a French term, just meaning cartoon and the Japanese have used it as their own word. "Un dessin anime"

I seem a bit bored out of all this...but trying to kill some time over forums...geez..wonder how much that'll help...but anyways...I think...watching anime comes to the person's choice since probably no one made that person. It's probably just because whoever was watching it just got over interested and continued. It's just like how caffine works...XD. Expeciall times when you wanna start, people usally start with Inuyasha since i have almost no cue how it happend. But I admit, I started with that and I kept wanting even more so I believe it's only leaving the person's interest. Lmao...I've probably said too much. XD

First of all: we don't LIVE to watch anime because ANIME isn't the whole world, neither is it the greatest thing. Just keep that in mind. We may love it, but so many people hate anime because of US, otakus. If we kept down a little, they wouldn't care

I can't completely agree with that.
People who don't like anime, don't like anime. And there are allways the radical ones who because they don't like something. Have to force their ideals and beliefs on others. Those who are unwilling to change are usually hated.

For example, as it's likely getting to be known, I like Dubbing.
There are thousands of Otaku's who hate me, or would hate me because of that.
That doesn't mean I'm bad, or what I like is bad. (Though they would beg to differ.)
They hate me because I like something they deem too different, or too foolish, or perhaps they are just incapable of understanding.
Regardless, my way of thinking, my likes is the reason they hate me even, so even if I keep it on the down low, as soon as the topic is brought up even slightly I'd get the tail end and be hated for it.

People don't hate anime because of otakus.
People hate anime, and because they hate it they hate otakus.

Just like:
People don't hate an object.
People hate the idea of the object and anything connected to it.

Lol, no, but what I was saying is that majority of the people get so mad at anime, because we make such a big deal out of it. Like people on the streets yelling, "I LOVE ANIME! OMGOMGOMGOMG!" honestly, I'd be annoyed with it too. :3 Yes, I am an otaku - VERY BIG ONE at that, but I keep it down. I don't mind if people love it, like I love them for that because they show our Otaku pride, but I don't want people hating the one thing we love so much just because of us because we want people to love what we love too.
